Service Desk Technician - Full Time

The Service Desk Technician will be involved in internal and client-facing project activities. Technicians will work with senior staff while performing a variety of tasks. There will be daily interaction with servers, networks, printers, workstations, etc. Assignments will be given where judgment, initiative and critical thinking is required to effectively resolve problems and make recommendations. Additionally, gathering and organizing data for use in supporting decision-making processes will be essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff in performing system backup and maintenance functions
  • Installation of hardware and software
  • Perform network and hardware troubleshooting
  • Perform preventative maintenance and upgrades on workstations and servers
  • Assist senior staff with current projects
  • Perform special projects as determined by management
  • Develop and update user and technical documentation
  • Communicate with customers to ensure they are informed of issue status
  • Enter customer communications, time, status updates and expenses in our systems as they occur

Requirements

  • Understanding of computer systems, networking technologies, and printing systems
  • Energetic, organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to changes quickly
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to lift 50lbs

Entry Level Technician - Part Time

The Entry Level Technician will be involved in internal project activities. Technicians will work with senior staff while performing a variety of tasks with an emphasis on increasing knowledge and experience with a multitude of technologies while also providing room for professional growth. Assignments will be given where judgment, initiative and critical thinking is required to effectively assess and address the task at hand.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff in performing system documentation
  • Provision hardware and software
  • Perform network and hardware troubleshooting
  • Assist senior staff as directed
  • Perform special projects as determined by management
  • Develop and update user and technical documentation
  • Log relevant data into the appropriate internal systems as required
